TEST SPECIFICATIONS
The Automatic Motor Analyzer performs the tests in the following sequence & in case of a fault; it stops the sequence of tests & sets off a buzzer alarm to the user.
I) Continuity Test
The Continuity test checks the continuity of the winding at low voltage 5 VDC to make sure that there is no improper connections.
Test Voltage |
5 Volts (DC) |
Test Time |
0-2 sec |
Test Result |
PASS/FAIL |
II) I.R (Megohm) Test
The I.R test checks the strength of the ground wall insulation that can be damaged due to dirt, carbon, moisture or weak wire insulation.
Test Voltage |
500 Volts (DC) |
Test Time |
0-10 sec |
I.R Limit |
0-200 MΩ |
III) H.V Flash Test
The H.V Flash test once again checks the strength of the ground wall insulation but at a higher applied voltage than the I.R test. If there is sudden surge in the leakage current it indicates that the ground wall insulation is weak and the test has failed. H.V Flash test = (2×E + 1000) where E is the operating voltage
Voltage |
0-2.5KV AC (Adjustable) |
Test Time |
0-10 sec |
Overtrip Leakage Current Limit |
0.1-10mA |
IV) Lock Rotor Test (Hi speed winding)
The Lock Rotor Test is performed by pneumatically locking the shaft of the Motor loaded on the test bench and calculating the desired parameters such as Wattage, Current and PF. The operator can set the applied test voltage. The lock rotor test is performed for the Hi-speed winding of the motor.
Test Voltage |
0-270 Volts (Adjustable) |
Wattage Limit |
0-2000 Watts |
Current Limit |
0-8Amps |
Power Factor Limit |
0.000-1.000 |
Test Time |
0-30 sec |
V) Low voltage Start Test (Low Speed Winding)
The Low voltage Start test is performed at low voltage of around 100V to check if the motor rotates at low voltage and there is no jammed rotor inside the motor. The readings of Wattage, Current and PF are measured and compared against the defined parameters set by the operator. The operator can also set the applied test voltage. The Low voltage Start test is performed for the Low speed winding of the motor.
Test Voltage |
0-270 Volts (Adjustable) |
Wattage Limit |
0-2000 Watts |
Current Limit |
0-8 Amps |
Power Factor Limit |
0.000-1.000 |
Test Time |
0-30 sec |
VI) Medium Speed winding Test (Medium Speed Winding)
The Medium Speed Winding test is performed at applied test voltage of around 230V to check the healthiness of the Medium speed of the motor. The readings of Wattage, Current and PF are measured and compared against the defined parameters set by the operator. The operator can also set the applied test voltage.
Test Voltage |
0-270 Volts (Adjustable) |
Wattage Limit |
0-2000 Watts |
Current Limit |
0-8 Amps |
Power Factor Limit |
0.000-1.000 |
Test Time |
0-30 sec |
VII) Full Speed No Load Test (Hi Speed Winding)
The Full speed No Load Test is performed at full run voltage of around 230 V to check the healthiness of the Hi speed winding of the motor. The readings of Wattage, Current and PF are measured and compared against the defined parameters set by the operator. The operator can also set the applied test voltage.
Test Voltage |
0-270 Volts (Adjustable) |
Wattage Limit |
0-2000 Watts |
Current Limit |
0-8 Amps |
Power Factor Limit |
0.000-1.000 |
Test Time |
0-30 sec |
